Recently we visted one of the most intriguing and well thought out projects in Manhattan, The Laureate. Luxury defined in uniqueness and size, this new construction project is located in Manhattan’s family friendly Upper West Side neighborhood. When you visit any of the exceptional buildings on the UWS there is a certain level of expectation. The Laureate has raised the bar.
The winning aspect of this project was the decision to make larger units in a neighborhood already known for its family appeal and local business that cater to that demographic. Created to accommodate families and people who love to entertain alike, The Laureate has what most buildings along the UWS do not have; an abundance of space. When we walked through the units they feel like classic pre-war layouts yet they have been improved subtly to match modern day uses. Thanks to the impressive team assembled (see below) this has been one of if not the most successful large-scale project since the collapse of the financial market in 2008. The average sales price for The Laureate was $6.5M and since these sales have been posted there has been a significant change in the pricing landscape of the UWS.
